The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $130 million with a cash option of $59.8 million.
The winning numbers were: 21, 22, 25, 32, 38. Powerball: 16. Power Play 5X.
No one across the country hit Wednesday’s $115 million jackpot. There was a second-prize ticket matching five numbers but not the Powerball sold in California. It’s worth $252,655 instead of the standard $1 million. California lottery prizes vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. They differ from the fixed second prizes offered in other participating states.
In New Jersey, no one won more than $200 with a single ticket.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 9, 20, 26, 43 and 58. The Powerball drawn was 9, with a Power Play of 2X.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.
Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is valued at an estimated $420 million with a cash option of $191.7 million.
