    Description

Offered is this small antique hard cover book/catalog, "The Man", from Fashion Park in Rochester, New York, containing illustrations of the men's clothing lines the company was producing at the time. The book is undated but appears to be from the 1920s-1930s; the company was in business from the 1910s through the 1960s. Someone has used the first part of the book as a scrapbook for silent film star Herbert Rawlinson, with the first eight pages containing photos of Rawlinson glued in over the existing text and illustrations, as well as another photo inside the back cover. In addition, there is a small photo of his head glued to the front cover and a separate photo attached to stock paper not connected to the book. Nine pages remain unchanged and display color illustrations and text for four different clothing lines. This is a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find another complete book like this, only separate illustrations, and of course the addition of the scrapbook items makes it unique.
The small thin book is about 5 3/8" x 3 1/2". It is in good condition for its age. The hard cover has some surface wear on the front and spine but the back is mostly unmarked. The pages are well-attached to the cover and have no tears. They are generally clean, with little spotting, although they have yellowed. The added photos are generally clear and of various qualities.
