Description
Vintage unique letter postmarked Oct. 7, 1923 from William 'Billie' Hulin to Helen Connor in Providence, RI. At the time, Billie was in training at The Naval Training Center in Newport, RI, Barracks C, Co. 11. Two page (front and back) correspondence is written on Army and Navy YMCA stationery. The YMCA building still stands today which used to assist servicemen while in Newport and is now housing. The Training center was closed a number of years ago. Letter is fairly informal Mr. Hulin appears to have strong interest in Miss Connor and implores her to write as well as inquiring about an injured friend. He gets a little frustrated at end of letter. Condition is good contained within original envelope with two cent stamp and postmark. Some fading normal with extensive age. A nice Naval or Newport-related document and collectible. We ship fast and FREE! Contact us with any questions we try our best.
