Vintage Original 1952 U.S. Department of State Washington, D.C. Employment Letter
It appears that the letter initially said that an application was made for employment in the "Foreign Service," but the latter is marked out and replaced by, "Departmental Service."
The letter is signed by Charles W. Curtis, Chief, Recruitment Operations Branch
Measures 8" x 10 1/2".  One Page.
This letter has heavy discoloration and marks on both the front and back sides.  There are three pinholes in the letter.  There may be other wear from handling and storage.
