    Description

    20 Replacement Snorkel Point Seals
Snorkel-fillers have three rubber parts that eventually need replacement (two seals and the ink sac); the point seal, which prevents leakage around the retractable Snorkel filler tube, is doubly critical: a bad point seal will allow compressed air to escape, preventing complete emptying and filling of the sac, and may also allow ink to get sucked into the pen's interior where it can lead to rust damage.
Our point seals are freshly manufactured, custom made to our specifications.  Though they look like ordinary rubber, they are made of ethylene propylene -- a synthetic compound nearly impervious to ozone, the prime cause of the hardening and shrinkage typically found in old point seals.  These seals should last at least twice as long as their regular rubber equivalents (just be sure to keep them away from petroleum-based oils and greases), and possibly much longer yet.
To install, unscrew the threaded connector from the nib shell (heat may be required). Remove the metal washer, replace the old point seal with the new, then reassemble, lubricating the seal hole with a small dab of pure silicone grease.
NOTE: These fit only Snorkel nib units -- PFM pens use a larger point seal, which we also sell.
    Payment
We are glad to combine shipping charges on multiple purchases, but it is vital that the proper checkout method be used. When buying more than one item, use the Add to Cart button -- NOT the Buy It Now button. View your cart when you are ready to complete the purchase, and if the total shipping charge is incorrect, do NOT pay. Instead, click the Request Total link at the top right and we will send you a corrected invoice.
    Terms of Sale
We strongly believe in full and explicit description of any condition problems or flaws, and in very conservative grading. We stand behind our descriptions -- buy with confidence.
