Up for your consideration comes this GROUP OF 25 OLD, RARE AND ORIGINAL ANTIQUE BRASS TACKS. THESE ARE VERY EARLY TO MID 19TH CENTURY 1800-1850's. THESE SQUARE SHANK BRASS TRADE TACKS ARE CORRECT FOR PIPE, TOMAHAWK HANDLES, AND PLAINS KNIFE SHEATH AND MUCH MORE. This is a great size to find as most are larger. The Indians used these to decorate many items. The earliest trade tacks were made of solid cast brass with brass square tapered shanks and where traded by the Hudson Bay Company, North West Trade Company and others. These are 100% authentic. Dome top heads that measure aprox 5/16" + or - 1/32", depends on the way the head is turned when measuring. PATINA MAY VARY, SOME GROUPS DARKER WITH AGE. THESE ARE STOCK PHOTOS.
