C1953 SHEAFFER SENTINEL BURGUNDY SNORKEL FOUNTAIN PEN & PENCIL SET MINT NOS

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this New Old Stock Circa 1953 Sheaffer Sentinel Snorkel Fountain Pen & Pencil in the Burgundy color with a 14K two-tone nib. The set comes with the original box and foil hang tags and nib sticker. I consider this Sheaffer Snorkel Fountain Pen and Pencil set to be in New Old Stock, Never Inked, Stickered, and Mint Condition!
This fountain pen was part of a purchase from an old Stationary Store in Cincinnati, Ohio where I acquired nearly 200 New Old Stock Fountain Pens from the 1940 to 1950s era - this is just one of them. Finding any pen that is stickered and retaining the tags is a scarce and uncommon find.
This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks, or repairs. The original foil tags still is remaining and in excellent condition. The barrel has a perfect imprint that reads, "W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. Fort Madison, Iowa U.S.A. Made in U.S.A.". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. I have not touched the fountain pen to buff or polish it - the snorkel filling system is in perfect working order and is factory. There is no brassing or wear to the cap or the gold-filled clip and cap banding. The snorkel tube moves freely and draws ink as it should. This Sheaffer Snorkel measures 5 1/2" in length capped and 6 1/2" posted. The Sheaffer Burgundy Pencil is in Mint Condition as well. The Pencil measures 5" inches in length.
The 14K Two-Tone Sheaffer NIB is a Medium Nib and retains the "Medium" Nib sticker on the Nib. The point measures roughly .77mm when measured with digital calipers. I have not written with this Nib - I wanted to keep this Fountain Pen in New Old Stock, Mint Condition for the new collector that acquires this one.
The Touchdown filling system has been tested for functionality - I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The filling system has perfect suction and works flawlessly. The filling system has been restored with correct reproduction parts (point seal, rubber sac, and o-ring) and works just like the day it left the factory.
The Sheaffer Pencil works flawlessly. One would twist the cap to propel the lead and turn the opposite way to retract the lead back into the barrel. The eraser is perfect and never been used.
The set comes with the original Snorkel Sheaffer Box. It is in good condition but show some staining.
This Sheaffer Snorkel Fountain Pen & Pencil Set is almost unheard of finding in this condition with original sticker and tag with it never being used. The set is in ready to write condition or just add to your writing arsenal collection. I would consider this Sheaffer Snorkel to be in New Old Stock, Mint Condition.

Refunds:
Item must be returned within 14 days of receiving it and in the same condition as received. The item cost will be refunded. (Buyer pays all shipping and insurance). Item must be returned with Delivery Confirmation. Item must be returned to qualify for a refund. I do not give refunds for uninsured items if they get broke in shipping. ( I do pack carefully, I do not want them to arrive broken.) Some of my listings include insurance on shipping. Please make sure they do, if not please request it, if you would like it added.
