Liege Rome Liege 1960 Winners Badge Austin Healey

From my collection of British car-related automobilia comes this reproduction Liege Rome Liege 1960 Winners Badge. Following the historic overall win by a works Austin Healey 3000 driven by Pat Moss and Ann Wisdom (URX 727), Donald Healey reportedly commissioned the fabrication of a few special enamel badges to commemorate the achievement. These small badges were contoured for mounting on the boot (trunk) of the Healey 3000. They should not be confused with metal rally plates which were much larger and featured paint on aluminum.The originals are virtually impossible to locate today.
The badge on offer here is certainly a high quality reproduction that I purchased about 30 years ago. I believe it to be a reproduction because unlike the originals it bears no makers mark on the backside.

o my knowledge it has never been mounted on a car and remains in excellent condition as it has been displayed in a glass case together with other Healey automobilia since my acquisition. There is some slight discoloration on the back.
The badge measures 4 3/8" by 1 7/8".
