Beautiful, multi-colored, glass beaded, Chihuahua dog figurine sculpture.
Hand beaded by the Mexican Huichol Indian artist, Isaias Bautista Carrillo, Turatemai, in Mexico.
Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this dog sculpture and adding, one-by-one, glass beads this 3D unique and happy puppy dog depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.

Symbols are very important for communication by the Huichol.
Isaias' unique
haute couture
style of using only 5 colors is amazing and really allows the symbols to pop with a clear metallic green background.  Colors:  Black, white, platinum pearl, metallic silver and clear with metallic green.  We love how Isaias turned some of the metallic green beads sideways to add sparkle.
His eyes, nose and mouth are accented with brilliant metallic silver beads and defined by black beads.
On one side, the Goddess Mother of Rain snake and the ultimate Messenger Deer are protecting the peyote.
On his (or her) other side, Father Sun, symbol of power, flanks the peyote by the Aztec warrior goddess butterfly who ruled the paradise world of Tamoanchan.
On the back of his neck, the nourishing corn leads to a brilliant God's Eye, the protector of the children.
His chest shines with the an extra large peyote flower that is made of messenger deers for life and success.
A sparkly silver bird of freedom is beneath his tail.
This Chihuahua is one-of-a-kind.  We love how his right foot is slightly raised as if he is ready for play time.
Note:  The metallic and pearl beads are more valued by the Huichol and cost double compared to the regular beads.
