NORWEGIAN AMERICA LINE PORSGRUND NORWAY VINTAGE CUP & SAUCER

Description

This listing is for a cup and saucer made in Norway by PORSGRUND for the NORWEGIAN AMERICA STEAMSHIP LINE. It looks as though they were made at different times but they blend well together.  The cup shows the old logo for NORWEGIAN AMERICA LINE with the initials NAL against the flag. The saucer, however, has the initials NAC in gold against the cobalt blue border.  The cup stand 2 1/2 inches tall and measures 3 inches across the opening.  A narrow cobalt blue and gold stripe trims the rim. In addition to the PORSGRUND marks on the bottom you will see the number 74. The saucer which measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter has the same cobalt blue and gold trim but the gold letters are NAC for NORWEGAIN AMERICA CRUISE. The marks on the bottom read PORSGRUND NORWAY 1981, VARETAKTA and P555. Both pieces are in mint condition and will be a nice addition to a collection of steamship memorabilia.
