RARE 1983 SMURF ROADRACE VILLAGE SET 7250 PEYO TALBOT Box with 4 cars 1/43-32-24

This is a
very rare
battery operated electric slot car race set,
manufactured in 1982/1983
by Talbot Toys for Peyo,
licensed by Wallace Berrie Co., Van Nuys, CA,
and
sold for only 2 years
.
To add to the rarity,
this is a Canadian issue with English and French,
from Irwin Toy Ltd., Toronto,
and originally sold at Consumers Distributing.
Made in Hong Kong.
This set comes with 2 extra cars as an added bonus,
for a total of 4 cars, and a
ll 4 cars ran when bench tested.
One car is missing the track guide pin and magnet,
one is missing the Smurfette head,
and one is missing the red radiator cap.
Two of the mounting posts for the figure's heads were repaired
by drilling and the post and using a screw that is
visible only when the head is removed.
One has the front hand crank detail intact,
and all 4 have all of the rubber tire treads intact.
The box shows some creasing, wear and tear, and tape.
Comes with the paper-board printed stand-up cut-outs
but some are missing,
and the guard rails, hand controllers, and track sections just as pictured.
The racing tracks in this set are 1/43 scale,
and the cars will also run on 1/32, and 1/24 scale tracks,
but you must be cautious of the voltage since these run on 3 volts,
(Uses two "C" batteries per controller - batteries not included).
