    RARE victorian antique ghost mother and child tintype photograph. LOOK. Shipped with USPS First Class. up for auction is an original victorian circa 1890 s tintype featuring a seated child being positioned by a "ghost mother". this practice is no doubt unusual to us now, but in the time period the cameras used had exceptionally slow shutter/exposure time to capture the image. as was the practice often mother's would be "disguised" by fabric or a drape and inconspicuously hold the child in position for the image to be captured. it give the image an overall odd feel but it was effective. this is an original period tintype and is in overall ex condition. a neat not often seen piece of history with a bit of a creepy feel. please feel free to ask questions.
