    Description

    You are bidding on a 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS Agassiz K 129, a Flower Class (39-40 program) Corvette which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1941 to 1945.
    Agassiz was laid down on 29 April 1940 at Burrard Dry Dock, in North Vancouver. She was launched on 15 August 1940, and commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy on 23 January 1941.
    Like her sister corvettes she served on convoy escorts in the Battle of Atlantic. She was paid of at Sydney, Nova Scotia in June 1945, and broken up at Moncton, New Brunswick, the next year.
    Photograph one, is circa 1941 and shows an overall waterline starboard beam view.
    Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships badge, general characteristics, callsign, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
    Item three is an 8 x 10 colour with a short history of the Agassiz , complete with a list of her Commanding Officers, and a Commissioning Crew photo.
