    Description

    You are bidding on an 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS Bittersweet K 182,  the Flower  Class Corvette of the ( 1939-1940  ) Program, which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1941 to 1945.
    Bittersweet was laid down for the Royal Navy on April 17, 1940, at the Marine Industries shipyards at Sorel, Quebec. She was launched on September 12, 1940, and commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy on May 15, 1941 with pennant K 182.
    Like her sister corvettes she served on convoy escorts in the Battle of Atlantic. She was paid off in June 1945, and after return to the Royal was broken up in 1950.
    Photograph one, is undated and shows an overall waterline port bow view.
    Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships badge, general characteristics, callsign, trivia, and the ensigns she proudly flew.
