    Description

    You are bidding on a 6 x 10 black and white  photograph of HMCS Lanark K 669 , the River Class Frigate which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1944 to 1965.
    The Lanark, was laid down, on September 1943, at Canadian Vickers in Montreal. She was launched on December 10, 1943, and commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy on July 6, 1944.
    After service as an escort in WW II, she paid off in 1945. In the mid 50's, she was converted to a Prestonian Class Frigate, and served until 1965. She was scrapped in Italy in 1966.
    Photograph one  is undated and shows an overall waterline port bow view.
    Item two  is a photo quality  8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ship’s unofficial WW II badge, general 1945 characteristics, callsign, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
