Description
You are bidding on an 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS New Waterford K321, the River Class Frigate which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1944 to 1966.New Waterford, was laid down, on February 17, 1943, at the venerable Yarrows shipyards, at Esquimalt. She was launched on July 3, 1943, and commissioned in the Royal Canadian Navy on January 21, 1944
She was utilized as an ocean escort during the war, and was converted to a Prestonian Class frigate in the mid 50's. She was sold for scrap in 1967.
Photograph one is undated and shows an overall waterline starboard beam view.
Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships unofficial WW II badge , general 1945 characteristics, callsign, trivia, and the ensigns she proudly flew.
Item three is an 8 x 10 colour with a short history of the New Waterford, complete with a list of her Commanding Officers, and a wartime crew photograph.
