Description
You are bidding on a 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS Blairmore J 314, the Bangor ( 41-42 Program ) Class Minesweeper which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1942,until 1958, then the Turkish Navy from 1958 to 1971.The Blairmore, began her long life, on 02 January 1942 at the Port Arthur Shipbuilding yards. She was launched on 14 May 1942, and was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy, on 17 November 1942
After service in the Canadian and Turkish Navies, she was broken up in 1971.
Photograph one is an undated WW II black and white photograph of the Blairmore, and shows an overall waterline starboard beam view.
Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships unofficial badge, general characteristics, callsigns, ships bell, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
