    Description

    You are bidding on a  8 x 10 black and white  photograph of HMCS Fort William J 311, the Bangor ( 41-42 Program ) Class Minesweeper which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1942, till 1957, then the Turkish Navy from 1957 to 1971.
    The Fort William , began her long life, on 18 August 1941  at the Port Arthur Shipbuilding yards. She was launched on 30 December 1941, and was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy, on 25 August 1942
    .
    After service in the Canadian and Turkish Navies, she was broken up in 1971.
    Photograph one  is undated and shows an overall waterline starboard beam view.
    Item two  is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships unofficial badge, general characteristics, callsigns ( J 311, FSE 195 and Turkish ) , motto, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
