Description
Here's a WHITE DOT SHEAFFER 875 SOVEREIGN II TRIUMPH 79 pen from about 1946. This is one of the wire cap ring SHEAFFER models that is not a Craftsman. This postwar pen varies from the Craftsman in that it is a white dot model with a nice Triumph 79 nib (shortened Triumph). The 79 was used on only a few models and one of these was apparently this WHITE DOT SHEAFFER SOVEREIGN II and other lady sized pens. This pen is 4-7/8" long and in golden brown pearl striated and is a plunger filler. The filler does take up a drop or two of ink, but I'm sure it will need a new seal before it will effectively take up ink. Celluloid is in generally good condition, but the blind cap, while it closes securely and without a gap, does not grasp the barrel threads which appear to be somewhat shortened (missing threads). Gold filled trim is also excellent. The 14K TRIUMPH 79 nib appears excellent with iridium and a firm, fine point. Nice pen.Prior to bidding, please review below the payment instructions, return policy and information on international shipping.
