Vintage Balbriggan men's cotton long john's plus box Williams Brothers gay wear

Up for sale is a vintage pair of men's long cotton underwear and the salesman's/advertising box picturing a handsome man lounging in the Balbriggan's underwear.   Judging by the appearance of the man it's probably from sometime between the 2 great Wars (30's, 40's).  The underwear is a size 34 (see photo 9), the box states 38 (see photo 3).  The waist is 34" and unlike current drawers does not stretch;  there are some buttons in the back which may give it another couple of inches.  The length is 40";  the length from the bottom of the crotch to the end of the leg is 28".  It is in excellent, unused condition with no signs of use or age wear.  The box (11" by 10" by 2 1/2") is pretty intact for its age with some wear on the corner (see photo 4).  Neither have smells from smoke or mildew.
