VINTAGE BIG 1930s SHEAFFER "FULL SIZE" BALANCE FOUNTAIN PEN
RARE "WINDOW PANE" TRANSPARENCY!
CRISP IMPRINT!
FULLY RESTORED & READY TO USE!
GRAY STRIPES
with silver trim.
NOTE the pen has an uncommon WIDE MILLED CAP BAND
This pen is in
EXCELLENT
condition.
NOTE this is the STANDARD FULL SIZE PEN (NOT THE OVERSIZE) and it measures 5 5/16" in the capped position.
This pen has been disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and tested.
The pen's vac-fill system works smoothly and fills with ink as designed with a new piston washer and packing assembly. I drilled out the old packing assembly and replaced it with a new packing gasket and closure washer ala David Nishimura's instructions for an airtight fit.
The body has the RARE WINDOW PANE TRANSPARENCY, where instead of multiple transparent striations, it has two wide "Window Panes" on either side of the barrel
It has VERY GOOD transparency so you can see exactly how much ink is in the pen.
The 14K GOLD nib of the pen is FINE in size and states "Sheaffers, Feather Touch, Made in USA, 5 ".
The imprint on the pen states "W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co, Fort Madison Iowa USA, Patented in USA".
